Problem Note 53962: Using implicit pass-through to Netezza with the WEEKDAY() function generates incorrect SQL results

When using SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Netezza, after you assign a LIBNAME statement to Netezza, the WEEKDAY() function is incorrectly passed to the database. This causes incorrect results to be returned.
For example, the Netezza table tbl1 has a date field called dd:
libname nz netezza server=nz-server user=nz-user pwd=nz-pwd database=nz-db;
proc sql;
select dd, weekday(dd) as week
from nz.tbl1;
quit;
The SAS log with tracing shows the following:
ACCESS ENGINE: SQL statement was passed to the DBMS for fetching data.
As a workaround, do not use the WEEKDAY() function when running a LIBNAME statement with SAS/ACCESS Interface to Netezza.
